The cabins are just meters from the ocean, the host is lovely, and the atmosphere is incredibly peaceful. The hostel is about a 20-minute walk from the center, making it easy to explore the island. My favorite part was falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves and watching the sunrise every morning. I already miss Mama Grace's place.

It's on the east side of the island which gets the wind and rough sea but you also get the sunrises. About a 15min walk to the port and main part of town. Rooms are fine and basic. It's old and run down so don't expect a thing fancy.

Wo kann man noch für so wenig Geld direkt am Strand übernachten?
Die Hütten am Strand sind einfach aber man hat alles was man braucht. Wasserdruck war super. Frühstück war lecker. Entspannte Atmosphäre und durch den Wind war kein Ventilator notwendig. Wenige Gehminuten zu Restaurants und ins "Zentrum". Für mich war es ein ganz besonderer Ort! Würde jederzeit wieder kommen!

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Location is perfect if you want to be away from it all.   Our room was 20’ from the ocean.  I hooked into 2 Tarpon right in front of our cabin.
Bring a flashlight for the walk home at night.  It’s about a 15 min walk to the main area on the other side of the island.    It’s an easy walk.
Rooms are what you see In all the pictures.    Comfortable, good shower and a toilet that flushes.    Bed was pretty good also.  If you want an affordable place to stay in a cool setting.   This is the place.

Es gibt eine Gemeinschaftsküche und das Essen soll sehr lecker sein. Leider sind die Mitarbeitenden sehr desinteressiert und bewegen sich keinen Meter auf einen zu. Es wirkt als hätten sie gar keine Lust. Als wir ankamen wurde uns nichts außer unsere Hütte gezeigt, wir mussten alles selbst herausfinden. Es gab bspw. Einen Grillabend, der auf einem mini Schild total versteckt beworben wurde. Auf meine Nachfrage wurde nur gesagt, dass es stattfindet. Keine Einladung, keine genaueren Infos.. Genau das gleiche mit den Schnorcheltouren. Wirklich schade! Hier könnte eine schöne Atmosphäre entstehen, würde man nur mal auf die Leute zugehen oder zumindest mal nett zurückgrüßen.
Strom gibt es nur ein paar Stunden am Tag, das Wifi ebenso und wenn, dann geht es eher schlecht bis gar nicht. Das kann man aber gut aushalten. Wir hatten alles in allem trotzdem eine entspannte Zeit auf Little Corn, hätten uns nur gerne mehr in diesem eigentlich sehr schönen Hostel aufhalten wollen.

David, Grace’s nephew, was watching over in her absence this week. He was phenomenal, one of the kindest hearted people we have met. He was an excellent host, always ensuring we were comfortable.
The cabins are simple, they aren’t luxurious and ours was particularly cozy. But we loved that, we came to unplug and live differently. I do not understand the complaints within the other reviews, as I feel the website is very clear as to what to expect. You are ocean front!! If you find something to complain about while being ocean front on a Caribbean island, thats on you 😉 Read up on the nature of the cabins, keep an open mind, and enjoy!

Good to Know (FAQs)

Do the cabins have private bathrooms?

Yes! Both our Beachfront Double Cabin and Island Classic Cabin feature private bathrooms. Our budget-friendly Backpacker’s Room, located in the communal house, uses a shared bathroom.

Can we eat on-site?

Absolutely. Grace’s Place serves authentic Caribbean and Nicaraguan food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We offer everything from fresh-caught lobster and traditional Rundown stew to simple tacos and cold beers.

Can I cook my own food?

You sure can. We have a shared guest kitchen available for all our guests. If you go on one of our fishing trips and catch a fish, you can cook it yourself, or our restaurant can prepare it for you!

How do we get around Little Corn Island?

By foot! There are no cars on the island, which keeps the atmosphere completely relaxed. If you want to travel between the islands, we offer our own charter ferry service.
